Ahmad Essak is a Mozambican tax and corporate advisor with more than two decades of professional experience in tax, legal, and regulatory matters. Over the course of his career, he spent 16 years at PwC Mozambique, including 5 years as the Tax and Legal Services Lead Partner, where he advised leading domestic and international clients on complex tax, corporate, and cross-border matters.
He is the founder of AE Consultores SU Lda and has extensive experience advising on high-value and strategically significant projects, particularly in the extractives, energy, and infrastructure sectors. His practice focuses on tax structuring, corporate and regulatory advisory, cross-border transactions, permanent establishment issues, VAT, corporate income tax, and engagements involving the Mozambican Tax Authority and sector regulators.
Ahmad is particularly known for his work on sophisticated investments and large-scale projects in Mozambique, where he combines deep technical knowledge with strong commercial awareness and practical problem-solving.
